There is no set number of days per week that tips are offered. The most important factor when deciding if tips will be offered on any given day comes down to our analysts deciding if there is enough depth, advantage and merit in the overall day of trading action to give our members a solid chance of returning a profit on the day. A lot of work goes into the day to day analysis of upcoming race meetings by our analysts and they make that judgement call on deciding to trade or not trade on the morning of each trading day generally by 9am. TWF form analysts and management reserve the right with all memberships to decide what days trading will take place.
We are big believers in the analogy that every day of potential trading action must stand on its own merit. So in saying this we are also big believers that no one day of the week is potentially a better trading day than another. Saturdays are traditionally the days when the highest quality races take place but this does not mean they are any easier or harder than other days to potentially make a profit. Once again the most important factor on any given day is the ability of our analysts to identify races where we feel we have an advantage over the bookmakers and other bettors in any market so we can potentially turn a profit for the day. The techniques we use are steadfastly centred around identifying races where we have found horses that have a good chance of winning along with a decent advantage in the associated betting markets. This is just as likely to happen in a maiden race at a country track on a Monday or Tuesday as it is likely to happen in a feature Group 1 race on a Saturday at a metro venue such as Flemington or Randwick. Our analysts do form analysis 7 days a week generally to try and find winning opportunities for members.
Win Banker Bets is centred around Win Betting as the name suggests. This service is specifically designed to concentrate on betting on our highest confidence Win betting tips aiming for a consistent high strike rate at odds we feel are above their true chance of winning which equates to a strong combination to help turn a profit long term on a very consistent basis.
Live Trader offers both tips for Win Betting and Place Betting so you have the choice to follow both the Win & Place Betting tips offered or you can choose to just follow one or the other depending upon the style of betting that you feel suits you the most.
Value Longshots is a service that concentrates on betting on horses at long shot odds of 10.00 or longer (in the win market) when tips are issued so they are suited generally to both Win & Place betting. It is up to each individual member to decide if they want to back them to Win or Place or both. Obviously runs of outs will be longer if you are Win Betting compared to Place Betting but the tips offered via this service are designed to turn a profit long term from Win Betting especially but if you employ a sensible staking plan and process you can turn a profit using either Win or Place betting.
The process out form analysts go through are very detailed and have been developed over decades of experience.
There is an excellent page on our site that further explains how we frame markets and find an advantage in betting markets.
Use the menu to go to "Understanding A Market" to read more about this.
A level stakes betting plan is a simple and straightforward approach to betting. With level stakes, you bet the same amount of money on each bet, regardless of the odds. This means that your risk is always the same, regardless of the outcome of your bets.
There are a few advantages to using a level stakes betting plan. First, it is very simple to understand and implement. Second, it is a very disciplined approach to betting, which can help you to avoid making emotional decisions. Third, it can help you to manage your bankroll more effectively.
Of course, there are also some disadvantages to using a level stakes betting plan. First, it can be slow to grow your bankroll. If you are only betting a small amount of money on each bet, it will take a long time to make a significant profit. Second, it can be difficult to make a profit if you are not a consistently winning bettor. If you lose more bets than you win, you will eventually lose money even if you are using a level stakes betting plan.
Overall, a level stakes betting plan is a good option for beginners or for those who want a simple and disciplined approach to betting. However, it is important to remember that it is not a get-rich-quick scheme. If you want to make a profit from betting, you need to be a consistently winning bettor.
Here are some additional tips for using a level stakes betting plan:
By following these tips, you can increase your chances of success with a level stakes betting plan.
In horse racing, profit on turnover (POT) is a measure of a bettor's profitability. It is calculated by dividing the total profit by the total amount of money wagered. For example, if a bettor wagers $100 and makes a profit of $10, their POT would be 10%.
POT is a more accurate measure of a bettor's profitability than strike rate (the percentage of bets that win). This is because POT takes into account the size of the bets, while strike rate does not. For example, a bettor with a 50% strike rate who bets $10 on each race will make the same profit as a bettor with a 25% strike rate who bets $20 on each race.
In horse racing, strike rate (SR) is a measure of a bettor's success. It is calculated by dividing the number of bets that win by the total number of bets placed. For example, if a bettor places 10 bets and wins 5, their SR would be 50%.
A high SR is generally considered to be a good thing, as it means that the bettor is winning more than they are losing. However, it is important to note that SR can be misleading. For example, a bettor with a 40% SR who only bets on very short-priced favorites may not be as profitable as a bettor with a 15% SR who only bets on long-shot winners.
A win bet is a bet placed on a horse to finish 1st in a race. If the horse finishes 1st the bettor wins that wager and is successful. If the horses does does not finish 1st then the bettor loses that wager and is unsuccessful.
A place bet is a bet placed on a horse to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd but there is also a minor variance to this rule, if there is 7 or less runners in a race then the horse has to finish 1st or 2nd. This description of a Place Bet is relevant to Australian horse racing and may not be the same in other racing jurisdictions or in markets offered via betting exchanges.
The TWF Blackbook is a database of horses that our analysts have developed over an extensive period of time for the purposes of identifying horses that have one or more factors in their form profiles to suggest they are horses that are worth following in future races. There is a lot of different factors that could come into play when identifying a horse as a Blackbook runner. The basic idea of the TWF Blackbook is to pinpoint horses that are on the way up and have good scope for further improvement and generally they will have hidden merit in their past performances or form profiles meaning it takes a trained eye to identify that merit which in turn generally means we will be getting good value about them in their upcoming races. Not every Blackbook runner is an automatic betting proposition each time they run, they still need to be qualified by our form analysts as being in the right races with the right conditions but generally the Blackbook horses we identify have a consistent record and form a key part of the form analysis we go through when identifying potential future bets for our members via the services we offer.
The TWF Learning Centre is a database of information, videos, documents and tutorials that is designed to further educate our members on all kinds of factors associated to the horse racing industry. The whole idea of the TWF Learning Centre is to educate punters to become better informed players in the horse racing arena. We will always be adding interesting new content to the TWF Learning Centre and we see it as a key add-on for members that will add a lot of additional depth to a TWF members experience. Members will get expert insight on a plethora of different subjects that our form analysts feel are key ingredients to becoming a more informed and more successful punter long term
We generally start updating content for each trading day between 9am and 10am AEST once we know the final scratchings and track conditions for each meeting we are covering. Content is continuously being updated throughout each trading day until we decide to finish a trading day. Important factors such as betting market moves, track patterns / bias, changing pace scenarios for individual races, weather forecasts and more can heavily impact the potential outcome of individual races so we feel it is important to be on top of all of these factors during each trading day to fully maximise the potential for profit on an given day.
